Gray & Dick: Supplier of Forster Profile Systems
As a UK supplier of Forster Systems, Gray & Dick can provide Forster’s Fuego Light steel frame system for use in architectural glazing projects across the UK. Recently, Gray & Dick were suppliers in a project for the prestigious Dalmore Distillery in the Scottish Highlands, where a fuego light system was installed to expertly combine essential passive fire protection with modern design aesthetics.
Swiss Engineered & Manufactured
All of Forster’s architectural steel systems are meticulously designed and manufactured to the highest standards in Switzerland. The company specialises in structurally sound and long-lasting components which provide incomparable safety features alongside streamlined, contemporary looks to create products that will stand the test of time both functionally and aesthetically.
Form & Function
Forster’s Fuego Light is a multi-functional steel frame system which can be used within glazed doors and walls. Its sleek slim steel profiles allow for maximum transparency, perfect for modern architectural designs which prioritise elegance and light transmission. This thermally isolated system has multiple options for safety features compatible with BS EN 14351-1.
Its robust steel construction and sealed sides provide improved fire and smoke protection in buildings, with a fire rating of up to EI190. Fuego Light can also be incorporated into designs with special requirements for air pressure conditions. When combined with fire-resistant glass, this can create a sophisticated glazed structure with excellent safety features without compromising on its looks.

Pyroguard Protect
Gray & Dick utilises Pyroguard Protect toughened fire safety glass alongside Fuego Light steel partitions in single glazed structures for superior integrity and heat insulation for 30 to 180 minutes (up to EI180 Classification). Fire-rated glass partitions which meet fire safety criteria are an effective tool in the containment flames and smoke during a fire. In slowing the progress of the fire, this can help minimise damage to property and allow for more time to evacuate the premises and get the fire under control. Glass partitions also have the added benefit of providing full visibility of any potential fire hazards before they grow, and of any individuals within a space yet to be evacuated.
Safety First
Gray & Dick advocates for the collaboration with qualified fire safety professionals throughout the planning and installation of a project to ensure that any glazing is adequately fire-rated for its purpose.
